To: Friends
Last weekend I went on a ferry.  We had these yummy chicken kabobs on the boat.  I thought they were fish and Daddy thought they were pork.  When Mommy, me and Georgie got on the boat Daddy drove the car up on the boat and we had a good seat.  After my Dad got off with the car we walked off and when we got to our beach house my hair was all knotty and I had to brush it out.  It hurt! I can't wait to see you guys again.

My Teacher and Poem

I made a poem a few days ago.  It was really fun.  It took a long time for me to make.  My poem was about three animals and me because I like animals.  My teacher put my poem up on our classroom wall.  This made me feel excited and happy.

My teacher, Miss Hanson, is very fun.  She lets us do stuff no other teacher will do - like let us watch movies, she plays with us and shows us videos of fun exercises to help us learn.  My teacher is the best.

My poem is down below for you to see!

Reese

Three and Me
Bark, Meow, Neigh
What are those sounds?
I really couldn't say.
I looked all around,
and what did I see?
Three Animals waiting for me
I said, "Why don't you come home with me?"
When I got home I gave
the cat a mouse, the dog a bone,
and the horse a phone.
Then the horse said, "We really can't stay."
They all said their goodbye's
and the three animals raced away.

The Beauty of Pets!

Dog sitting for Zorro was really fun!  He gave lots and lots of kisses and he did stuff really, really fun.  It felt good to have another dog around, sort of like our old dog Soly, because we really miss having a family dog.

In Ecuador we know we are going to get another dog but it's just messy and hard to wait.  So, having Zorro around was reminding us about our dog. Sometimes we felt sad but sometimes we felt overwhelming joy.

Frog and Face!!

On a weekend we went to a cloud forest in Costa Rica.  What is a cloud forest you ask?  It is a rainforest in the mountains and believe us there is whole lot a clouds! In the cloud forest we saw a lot of cool creatures. We went to an aviary and watched all sorts of tropical birds.  Really loud macaws, majestic birds of prey, a crazy looking bird that looked like a clown and more!  But, the most amazing thing that happened in the aviary was that we kissed a toucan!  How?  The bird trainer put a toucan treat between our lips and the toucan took the treat right out of our mouths!

There was more that happened in the cloud forest than birds. There were also reptile and amphibian houses.  In the reptile house we got to hold a harmless snake.  We also got to see a very deadly snake called the fer-de-lance.  In the amphibian house, well actually the frog house, we went in a room with captive poisonous frogs jumping around free! Why didn't we get poisoned? For starters, we didn't touch them.  But the really cool fact is that once poisonous frogs are in captivity the LOOSE their poison.  Another cool thing that happened in the frog house is that we go Red Eyed Tree Frogs on our face!  I repeat.  We got Red Eyed Tree Frogs on our face!  They needed to stay wet and we needed to wash off our hands before we held them.
We had a fun time in the cloud forest!

Moving Today Again!

Today is Monday, that means it is time to move ... again. This time we are heading out of the city, state, and contrey. You guessed it we're going to Costa Rica!

I was a little frightened at first but God's amazing word helped me on.  When I opened the Bible this morning I read Jeremiah 29:11.  It says, "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord.  Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.  Plans to give you hope and a future." This verse encouraged me because I know God would never leave me.

Have a nice day.

The Big Goodbye

To My Friends --

This is a picture of Cody and Kat.  They came from other states and countries to say goodbye to us at our Farewell Party.  We got to see them two days.

I got lots of mosquito bites this summer.  Today we are leaving for Costa Rica to learn Spanish.  My house is a big blue house.  We call it The Blue House.  I'll sleep in a bedroom with my sister, Georgia, on a bunk bed.  I will sleep on the bottom bunk.

It's hard to give goodbyes to friends.

Reese

Moving Today!!

Our family is moving out of our house and into Grandma and Papa's house.  We are excited but we're also feeling things we can't exactly explain-but it's not good.  This is the first time we have officially moved out of our house.  Our friends and family are helping us get through it!

A note from Reese -
I am really excited because when we are at our Grandparent's house we are going to see baby ducklings.  They live on a lake!  Also, when I am at the lake I'm going to swim.  Underneath the sand there is clay.  I can't wait to dig and find some clay. I make the clay into meatballs and Georgia makes them into beatballs.  We use beatballs to scare away the geese which poop on the beach and grass! Ewwwwwww!!!!

A note from Georgia -
I started a great book on Friday and finished it on Saturday!  I couldn't put it down.  The book I read was The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles by Julie Andrews Edwards.  I recommend this book for all readers because it is filled with lessons delivered by strange and wonderful creatures.  "Ben, Tom and Lindy Potter have never even heard of a Whangdoodle-until they meet the brilliant Professor Savant.  He tells them about wise and magical creatures who disappeared into another land because people stopped believing in them." This wonderful book would be a great summer reading book!

We will post again soon.  Leave comments please.  We love to hear from you!
