Lola Loving!

Dear Friends,

Last June we got a little bundle of cuteness. Her name is Lola, but her full name is Lola Scout Ferry. We got her at a big city called Ambato. It is two hours away from where we live. When we first saw her she was crammed into a small cage with a little poodle and a mix breed. They were huddled up together in the corner of the cage. We asked the man if he could take her out so we can meet her; so he did. The second we set eyes on her we new she was the right one. So we bought her.

It was 7:00 pm when we got home. When Lacey saw Lo (short for Lola) I could see she was confused. Lacey kept her distance, but after a few days they ended up rolling on the floor and bounding through the grass. Her quirky ways always makes us laugh. She is our little goofball.

She is now big and strong and still growing. She is a goofball but sometimes she is a slime ball! Early in the morning Lacey and Lola nock open my door and run in and wake me up. It's like in their heads the game is called, "Jump on the sleeping Reese!" But I still love them.

Reese's Very Slow Pets

One of Reese's hundred pet snails
Now you are positive I only write about bugs. But, this is actually, as said in the caption, one of Reese's millions of snails that she catches in our backyard. Quick espanol update- caracol is Spanish for snail and babas is slime. Reese is determined to name all of her newly found pets. Good luck with that Reese!

See you soon,

Georgia

Ant popcorn...ewwww!!!

Me stirring the still wiggling ants!
Imagine, it's five in the morning. The sun isn't up, but you are. One decent sized ant flies into a light trap. Then another, then another. Do you see it? If your afraid of ants you probably have closed this article by now. This was my dad's experience with our new treat - ants. But, that wasn't the even the best part! If you had a smell-avision I'd show you, but you wouldn't thank me. The revolting smell drove me all the way to the classroom in the back of our house. For the few seconds I spared during my evacuation I faced the pleasant picture of squirming bugs. But, I tend to over exaggerate just a little bit. It probably didn't taste too bad. Just a normal day in the jungles of Ecuador!

Thank you for reading,

Georgia

The Vacation in Otavalo

We are in Otavalo riding horses my horses name was Black. On the way my horse got hurt but it was just a rock. My horse would get angry if the other horses would get out of line. My mom's horse wanted to go back where we started but he didn't know that was the long way back. When I galloped it felt like my insides turned into my outsides. My horse would grab a snack on the way. We hiked all over the place like through a eucalyptus forest. The horses didn't like the eucalyptus no one knew why. Maybe it was the smell.

To: Friends
Last weekend I went on a ferry.  We had these yummy chicken kabobs on the boat.  I thought they were fish and Daddy thought they were pork.  When Mommy, me and Georgie got on the boat Daddy drove the car up on the boat and we had a good seat.  After my Dad got off with the car we walked off and when we got to our beach house my hair was all knotty and I had to brush it out.  It hurt! I can't wait to see you guys again.
